Jake Mills is an award-winning stand-up comedian, mental health campaigner and CEO. He founded and runs the multi-award winning national mental health charity, Chasing the Stigma, which he established following his own battle with depression and suicide attempt in 2013.
Through this session, Jake will discuss his ‘accidental journey’ that has taken him from a place of despair and personal turmoil, to being the CEO of a national mental health charity and the creator of the Hub of Hope, the UK’s biggest and most comprehensive mental health signposting tool, that has revolutionised mental health pathways in the UK. Talking about the story behind Network Rail’s recent There’s Always Hope campaign, Jake’s session offers a story of hope, exploring how times of difficulties can often be used as building blocks for positive change.
